With most IT resellers, a 30-day warranty on parts is standard, but Canvas Systems is not like most companies. Canvas Systems offers a Lifetime Warranty on qualifying equipment. If the equipment fails for any reason, you can return it to us and our trained technical support staff will repair it or replace it at no charge.
Terms and Conditions
Warranty. Canvas warrants that under normal use and service all covered hardware sold by Canvas and registered as provided below will be in working order for as long as the Registrant (as defined below) owns and has possession of the hardware. Hardware components are only eligible for this warranty to the extent they remain installed in the hardware as originally delivered by Canvas and installed in the United States.
Remedy. If any covered item fails to conform to the foregoing warranty, Canvas will, as the Registrant’s sole and exclusive remedy, repair or replace the item at Canvas’ expense within a commercially reasonable time following the Registrant’s return of the defective item. Repair or replacement items provided by Canvas will be eligible for the same warranty. Registrant shall bear the cost of returning the item to Canvas F.O.B. Canvas’ facility and Canvas shall bear the cost of sending repair or replacement items to Registrant F.O.B. Registrant’s facility located within the continental United States.
Exclusions. Canvas makes no warranty with respect to (i) desktop or laptop computers, printers or monitors (ii) any item if modifications or attachments have been made to the item, or (iii) any item if its failure is caused by accident, improper use, improper storage or handling, damage during shipment or abuse, or (iv) any item if Registrant transfers ownership or possession of the item, or (v) any item removed from the original hardware sold by Canvas, or (vi) any item if it is disassembled into component parts, or (vii) any item for use in any environment other than originally intended.
Eligibility and Registration. To be eligible for warranty coverage, the item must be manufactured by Sun Microsystems, HP, IBM, Dell or Cisco (excluding desktops, laptops, printers and monitors), must be installed in the United States, must be purchased directly from Canvas, must not be excluded from coverage as provided above and the person or entity purchasing the item directly from Canvas must be located in the United States and must register the item for warranty coverage within 30 days of receipt by visiting www.canvassystems.com/warranty_reg/ and following the registration instructions (the “Registrant”). Customers located outside the United States or who purchase items for installation outside the United States are not eligible for this warranty.
Non-Transferable. The warranty contained herein is not assignable or transferable by the Registrant.
Disclaimer of Other Warranties. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS, CANVAS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY MATTER OR ITEM, INCLUDING AS TO NON-INFRINGEMENT, THE SUITABILITY MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE OR ORIGINALITY.
Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT SHALL CANVAS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR PUNITIVE LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY EQUIPMENT OR THE PERFORMANCE OR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY, EVEN IF CANVAS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF. CANVAS’ MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY HEREUNDER SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE SALES PRICE PAID FOR THE ITEM.
Improper Returns. If any item returned to Canvas is found by Canvas to be in working condition, Canvas will re-ship the item to Registrant at Registrant’s expense.
